The Lisbon stock exchange closed at a moderate low this Friday, in the last session of the week and month, pressured by the energy of the EDP group, contradicting the gains of the main European markets.
The national reference index, the PSI, fell 0.2% to 6,418.34 points, with eight of their 15 titles in the red. In total for the month, the PSI recorded drops of 1.75%.
EDP and EDP Renováveis were among the main losseswith EDP leading the falls, falling 0.90% to 3.422 euros and the renewable unit falling 0.81% to 11.08 euros.
Still in losses, Nos fell 0.86% to R$ 3.46after having announced that it will not increase prices next year, at a time when the national market now has another operator, the Romanian Digi, which launched a “low cost” offer.
Paper companies also put pressure on the PSI: Navigator fell 0.87%, Semapa fell 0.86% and Altri fell 0.50%.
Galp did not escape the dominant trend, falling 0.29% to 15.54 euros, in a session of losses for oil in international markets.
On the earnings side, highlight for Mota-Engil, which advanced 1.08% to 2,610 euros.
Retail also increased in value, with Sonae gaining 0.53% to 0.943 euros and Jerónimo Martins advancing 0.33% to 18.44 euros.
Still in the green table, BCP increased by 0.22% to 0.4478 euros.
