The Lisbon stock exchange started the week with gains, with the reference index, the PSI, advancing 0.13% to 6603.58 points. Of the 15 main listed companies, eight registered gains, three lost and four remained unchanged.
Leading the list of valuations was Semapa, which increases 1.11% to R$ 14.58after last week announcing an 8.6% increase in profits, to 182 million euros, until September.
Strengthening the PSI were also three energy heavyweights: EDP Renováveis – which on Wednesday presents the results of the third quarter – gains 0.88% to 12.68 euros, EDP rises 0.60% to 3.675 euros and Galp increases 0.22% to 15.95 eurosin line with oil prices which are trading high at this time.
Also gaining in the first minutes of trading were Mota-Engil (+0.85%), Navigator (+0.28%), Nos (+0.14%) and Sonae (+0.11%).
REN, Ibersol, CTT and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged – the latter releases its results for the quarter this afternoon, after the market closes.
On the losses side, the highlight goes to Jerónimo Martins, which fell 0.66% to 18.15 eurosafter, on Friday, it was the listed company that gained the most at the close. The retailer’s results, released on Wednesday, revealed a drop of around 20% in profits, but ended up exceeding investors’ expectations.
Still losing were BCP, falling 0.32% to 0.4616 euros, and Altri, falling 0.30% to 5.045 euros.
