The Lisbon stock exchange started the session with gains, with the PSI advancing 0.51% to 6,800.53 points. Of the 16 main listed companies, 12 appreciated in the first minutes of trading, three lost and one remained unchanged.
The one that gives the reference index the most breath is BCP, which advances 1.69% to 0.3920 euros. The bank hit eight-year highs on Tuesday, but corrected by Wednesday’s close, falling nearly 3%. Yesterday, the Angolan government assured that it does not intend to divest its stake in the bank.
Second is the Galp, up 0.79% to 19.12 eurosin line with rising oil prices at this time.
The remaining stock market heavyweights are also trading higher, albeit with more modest gains: EDP rises 0.30% to 3.631 euros, Jerónimo Martins advances 0.26% to 19.62 euros and EDP Renováveis increases 0.22% to 13.63 euros.
Still gaining value were Sonae (+0.54%), Nos (+0.42%), Corticeira Amorim (+0.31%), Greenvolt (+0.30%), Ibersol (+0.29%), Semapa (+0.26%) and CTT (+0.22%). Navigator remained unchanged.
The losses are already led by Mota-Engil, which fell 0.45% to 3.526 euros at the start of the session. The construction company will thus be in a correction movement, after, on Wednesday, having risen more than 5% following the announcement that it had signed its second largest contract ever in Mexico.
Also losing this morning were REN (-0.21%) and Altri (+0.09%)
