A list of foods that contain hidden sugar has been compiled. The list was published by therapist Rupi Aujla, writes “Pravda.ru».
According to him, there is a lot of hidden sugar in white bread, sauces and salad dressings. “White poison” is also found in store-bought yogurts and fruit juices, breakfast cereals and granola, and ready-made store-bought soups. The doctor noted that excess sugar can lead to weight gain, disrupt liver function, and lead to the development of hypertension and indigestion.
Previously, doctors at St. Petersburg clinic No. 39 noted that low-fat foods usually contain a lot of sugar. It is added to them to compensate for the taste. Sugar is also found in huge quantities in canned fruits and vegetables. Tomato-based products are filled with it – for example, 120 g of tomatoes will give 6 g of sugar, and 125 g of tomato paste contains almost 32 g of sugar.
