For a couple of years now, September means that Logitech G, the subdivision of Logitech that focuses on gaming products, presents its upcoming products at the live event Logiplay.
This year’s presentation has just finished and here are some of the highlights.
According to Logitech G, the wireless and wired keyboards in the G915 X series are developed based on user feedback.
The result is thin gaming keyboards equipped with double molded PBT keys and mechanical switches, where the previous hook-shaped design has been replaced with a cross-shaped POM stem.
It should provide a quieter typing experience and make it easier to change keys. The actuation point on the switches has been reduced to 1.3 millimeters, which means that key presses are registered faster and provides a more responsive user experience.
The keyboards can be connected via Bluetooth, USB or Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless technology. It has customizable RGB lighting, which when switched on in full American Christmas tree mode gives a battery life of 36 hours. With lighting deactivated, the keyboard has a battery life of up to 800 hours. For the TKL version, the maximum battery life is 42 hours with full RGB lighting and 1,000 hours without.
The new keyboards can be ordered from today and have the following price tags:
• G915 X Lightspeed in full size – SEK 2,899
• G915 X Lightspeed TKL – 2 599 kronor
• G915 X Wired – SEK 2,399
New in the Pro series
New mice and keyboards in the Pro series, which are aimed at those who compete in gaming, were also presented. The products have been developed in collaboration with some of the world’s leading professional e-sports players, something that Logitech G calls “Design by collaboration”. The focus is on response, precision and ease of use.
The Pro X Superlight 2 Dex mouse has an asymmetric design for right-handed users, and was developed based on feedback from professional Counter Strike and Valorant players. The key specs here are Lightspeed wireless technology and the Hero 2 sensor with 8KHz polling rate, as well as Lightforce switches that combine optical and mechanical technology for quick response and a tactile click feel.
The other new gaming mouse is the Pro 2 Lightspeed, for both right- and left-handed users. The mouse is a further development of the Pro Wireless model, and like the Pro X Superlight 2 Dex, has been equipped with a Hero 2 sensor and Lightspeed technology.
The Pro X TKL Rapid is Logitech G’s first keyboard with mechanical analog switches where the actuation point can be set. There is also a ‘rapid trigger’ function which allows a key press to be registered multiple times without the key needing to return to its original position, which is particularly beneficial for eSports players who need to be able to perform quick and repetitive commands .
The mice can be ordered now and the keyboard will be available in December, at the following prices:
• Pro X Superlight 2 Dex – SEK 1,999
• Pro 2 Lightspeed – 1 599 kronor
• Pro X TKL Rapid Gaming Keyboard – 2 199 kronor
In addition to the above products, wireless gaming headsets in the new A50 series and sim racing products for PC and consoles were also mentioned.
