What is this compact keyboard from Logitech?
The Mx Keys Mini Bluetooth keyboard is, as its name suggests, a compact version of the Logitech MX Keys keyboard that has already proven itself. This portable version does not have a numeric keypad, and has dimensions of 131.95 × 295.99 × 20.97 mm for a weight of 506 g. The keyboard is elegant and robust and will be able to survive most of your trips, provided you carry it correctly.
The Mx Keys Mini is raised and offers a fixed tilt, with a thickness of 2 cm on its raised part. The comfort of use is not at the level of high-end keyboards designed for office use, but the ergonomics are nevertheless very good for such a compact model. Typing is precise and the scissor switches are silent. Under the keyboard, you will find six non-slip pads that keep it properly in place. Note that the backlit keys light up when you approach your hands, and automatically adjust to the ambient brightness.
Is this Logitech keyboard a good deal for the sales?
Less than €70, it’s a very good deal if you’re looking for a quality portable keyboard for office use mainly. The Mx Keyx Mini is compatible with Mac and PC, and offers adapted key printing. The idea is good, but it will take a little time to adapt if you’re not used to it, before having perfectly fluid typing. Fortunately, the Logitech Option software allows you to add many shortcuts to the keys.
In terms of battery life, expect about 10 days of use with the backlighting activated, and almost five months without. The keyboard recharges via a USB-C cable.
