Lola, the baby who has become a symbol of survival when she was born in DANA

The baby is a survivor and has become a symbol in the midst of devastation. His parents were at home when the water began to enter the house and flood everything. In the middle of the night and completely disoriented they decided to escape.

Leticia, the mother, was pregnant at that time and with the possibility of giving birth at any time. Leticia and her partner were able take shelter in your neighbor’s house on the top floor. To do this they had to climb three meters across the terrace, where they had climbed to avoid being dragged by the water.

The mother has remembered how they survived the night of the floods: “We went upstairs to the neighbor’s apartment. I didn’t have time to vent.” Leticia explained that she spoke with her upstairs neighbor, whom she did not even know: “She was an older person and we did what we could. On that farm there were two boys who tried to climb us through the window of the farm.”

“When we saw the water passing my knees, my legs cramped. We did everything possible so that the boys could help us. “I stayed calm because in those moments you don’t know what to do.”Leticia mentioned. There was a moment when the water began to exceed half of the window, so Leticia got scared.

“I don’t know how the glass didn’t burst,” Leticia recalled. Frank Blanco asked him if he had any discomfort after the effort he made to climb three meters to his neighbor’s house. “I was there for two days and we didn’t sleep at all. “I was having contractions, but it didn’t hurt that much.”Leticia responded.

In the end, days later Leticia was admitted to the hospital: “Two nurses came by early Saturday. I felt fine, but my blood pressure was very high. They kept me under observation for a while.” The presenter of ‘TardeAR’ has congratulated the mother after giving birth in the midst of the catastrophe.
