The menu inspired by the movie “The Sun Never Ends” at the Tisa restaurant: See what’s on it

The world premiere of David Jovanović’s film “Sun Never Again” will take place on November 20 in the competition program for debut films at the Tallinn International Film Festival. The Serbian premiere is planned for Thursday, November 28 as part of the program Brave Balkans at the 30th Original Film Festival, while the official premiere will be held on Monday, December 2 at 8:30 p.m. in the Mts Dvorana. From November 19, the Tisa restaurant will offer a unique gastronomic experience – a special menu created in cooperation with David Jovanović, the author of the film. This menu, inspired by the film and its strong connection with nature, celebrates the inextricable connection between people and nature through gastronomic heritage.

“All the food on the menu is local and fresh, grown on our land – without it, there will never be pleasures like this again. Let’s protect our country together!” said the director of the film.

The Tisa restaurant’s menu includes, among other things, bean stew, lentil soup, stuffed dried peppers with pumpkin seeds and walnuts, lamb in a handkerchief, bean cream and grilled rastan.

The plot of the film “The Sun Never Ends” follows Vid, a father faced with a mine that threatens to swallow his home. Vid finds optimism in the imaginative and fairy-tale perspective of his son, Dulet. The roles in the film are played by: Dušan Jović, Rastko Racić, Nataša Marković, Radovan Miljanić, Joakim Tasić and Svetozar Cvetković in the role of God.

“Sun Never Again” is David Jovanović’s graduation thesis, realized in co-production of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and a production company Pointless Films which is behind the most awarded Serbian film from 2023 “The road will pass this way”.

Pointless Films presented a limited collection of five silver necklaces under the name Silver sunsdesigned by the film’s costume designer Jana Zaharijević. Silver suns were created with the aim of raising additional funds for the promotion of the film and can be ordered via Instagram @pointless__films or by email at (email protected). With the same goal, they presented a limited collection of 2nd Hand wardrobe, which they painted by hand, and which is sold at Pinklla Vintage Store, Kralja Petra 80, Belgrade.
