Authorities in Los Angeles shared updated details about the forest fires that have been raging for 9 days in the city.
Officials stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the fires increased to 25 and that more than 12 thousand structures were destroyed.
Authorities shared the information that the fire, which has been going on for days in the Palisades and Eaton regions, was largely under control.
The National Weather Service warned that new fires could break out due to strong winds and dry weather conditions.
The service extended the fire warning in the region after the wind intensity reached dangerous levels.
In order to prevent the spread of the fire, authorities cut off the electricity of more than 77 thousand households in the region.
