Lotte Mart and Supermarket announced on the 27th that they delivered 14 kinds of good snacks and drinks to participants of the ‘2024 HOPE CUP’ hosted by Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry.

At the Korea Food for the Hungry International headquarters located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Kim Hye-young, Lotte Mart and Super ESG team leader (third from the left) and Kim Tae-il, head of the Korea Food for the Hungry Social Impact Partnership (fifth from the left), held a HOPE CUP snack distribution ceremony.

A total of 160 overseas sponsored children from 10 countries, including Vietnam, Ecuador, and Sri Lanka, attended this HOPE CUP. HOPE CUP is a soccer event that Korea Food for the Hungry International has held every two years since 2016, providing an opportunity for sponsored children around the world to learn the values of hope and unity through soccer.

Lotte Mart and Supermarket provide PB snacks during the soccer tournament so that sponsored children can replenish their physical strength during breaks. In particular, we prepared snacks such as ‘Today’s Good Puffed Fried Rice’ and ‘Today’s Good Sweet Rice Snack’ so that foreign children visiting Korea for the first time can taste traditional snacks.

In addition to providing HOPE CUP snacks, Lotte Mart and Supermarket also plan to provide the opportunity to experience Korean culture for 30 children in Vietnam and South Africa in October. With this experience course, we plan to visit ‘Lotte Mart Zetaplex Jamsil Branch’ and ‘Jamsil Lotte World’ and create special memories by experiencing large marts and riding amusement rides.
