Lotus has shown a new concept called Theory 1, announcing its all-electric future.

It is an electric supercar with 1,000 horsepower, four-wheel drive and a target weight of under 1,600 kg (about 300 kg less than the Evia), thanks to the use of carbon fiber.

The design is said to be inspired by the Esprit, with the Theory 1 Concept featuring a sharp wedge-shaped profile with thin boomerang-shaped headlights, as well as a rear end with ultra-thin taillights, a tall spoiler and a huge diffuser.

The car has three seats, a centrally located seat for the driver and seats on both sides for passengers.

The interior is equipped with a head-up display and screens next to each A-pillar instead of side mirrors. There are also speakers built into the headrests of each seat using a 3D printed lattice structure.

There are also “on demand” buttons. Formed from what is described as “reactive textile” that occupies surfaces along the cabin, it can display buttons when they are needed or remove them when they are not.

As for other details, the Theory 1 Concept has 70.0 kWh batteries that provide a range of around 400 km. The company also predicts a time from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 322 km/h.

Regarding the dimensions, the Theory 1 Concept is 4490 mm long, 2000 mm wide and 1140 mm high.
