Luciano Biondo leaves Renault, Anne-Catherine Brieux new director of industrial operations at Ampere

The destination of the 53-year-old, who worked for PSA Peugeot-Citroën and was the former director of the Toyota plant in Valenciennes, is not yet known.

Anne-Catherine Brieux will manage the northern assembly plants

He will be replaced in his role from August 1 by Anne-Catherine Brieux, 50, current director of quality, strategy, suppliers and development for the Renault group. This graduate of INSA Rouen, who joined Renault in 1997 as a manufacturing engineer at the Cléon engine plant (Seine-Maritime), will manage this site as well as those in Douai, Maubeuge and Ruitz (which form the “Electricity” cluster) while occupying the purchasing, quality, production engineering, supply chain and information technology functions of Ampere.

During her uninterrupted career at the Losange, Anne-Catherine Brieux notably managed the Spanish factories of Valladolid Motores (specializing in engine production) and Palencia (where the Austral, Espace and the brand new Rafale models are assembled). In 2018, L’Usine Nouvelle awarded the Trophée de la Femme de production to this mechanics enthusiast, who led the design of the 2-liter gasoline engine of the Dacia Duster.
