A consumer named ElectricalEmployer22 on Reddit has gotten his hands on two Ryzen 7 9700X processors, writes Wccftech. This despite the fact that AMD has not officially launched the processors yet. According to Wccftech, this is either because ElectricalEmployer22 is employed by a retailer that just received the processors, or the processors were accidentally sold too early.
The Ryzen 7 9700X has eight cores and 16 threads and 40 MB of cache memory. The processor has a clock frequency of 3.8 GHz and can reach a maximum frequency of 5.5 GHz. The Ryzen 7 9700X also has a TDP value of 65 W, which is lower than its predecessor in the 7000 series which has 105 W.
Like the other processors in the Ryzen 9000 series, the Ryzen 7 9700X is based on the Zen 5 architecture and should fit into AMD’s AM5 platform.
The upcoming processor will launch alongside the rest of AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series at the end of July. Previously, we reported that the Ryzen 9000 series will also be cheaper than its predecessors in the 7000 series were at launch.
