Lunar Lake will come in the Asus ExpertBook P5 laptop with a 2.5K 144Hz display

Asus has already published the product page of its first laptop ExpertBook P5 (P5405), which will be equipped with an Intel Lunar Lake processor. They should have 8 cores and 8 threads, which is a step back, but the new architecture increases the IPC of powerful P-Cores by 14% and, above all, dramatically increases the IPC of economical E-Cores, where it is 38-68% depending on the type of calculations. We do not yet know what consumption Asus will set its notebooks to, whether it will be 17W PBP and 30W MTP or other values ​​(Asus often sets higher consumption values).

The processor contains an NPU with a performance of 45+ AI TOPS, the entire computer should dare to reach more than 100 TOPS (the most powerful Lunar Lake peaks at 120 TOPS). AI will find its use, for example, in searching for files, generative rewriting of notes, adaptive dimming, automatic computer locking or suppression of noise and noise in audio. This laptop will have a metal body and its weight should be 1.3 kg. The display will bring a resolution of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, it will have an anti-glare treatment. The hinge will allow 180° rotation. Asus also promises an improved cooling system that should work effectively even with the lid closed.

Intel Core Ultra 200V processors will have up to 32 GB of integrated LPDDR5X memory, the notebook can have up to 2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs with a total capacity of up to 3 TB. There will be a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) wireless interface. The keyboard will then have 1.5mm key travel. Security is ensured, among other things, by BIOS protection that meets the NIST-155 standard, we also have biometric login (fingerprint reader and IR camera with Windows Hello), the webcam has a cover.
