Lynk & Co opens its doors in Bucharest: an important step on the car market in Eastern Europe

Lynk & Co, the global vehicle brand created following the collaboration between Geely Auto Group and Volvo Car Group, is expanding its presence in Europe by opening a distribution network in Romania.

Lynk & Co, the automotive brand that captured the industry’s attention with a range of modern vehicles, is officially expanding its presence in South-Eastern Europe by opening a new showroom in Bucharest. This is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the region, following its success in other European markets.

The new location, Lynk & Co Bucharest, is located in Piața Presei Libere no. 3-5 and will receive its customers from September 2024. It will give those interested the opportunity to discover the Lynk & Co 01 model, the only vehicle available for viewing in this phase.

Lynk & Co 01: a premium SUV with top technologies

The Lynk & Co 01 is a premium plug-in hybrid SUV that combines the efficiency of a 1.5 liter petrol engine, also found in the Volvo XC40, with an electric motor connected to a 17.6 kWh battery. With a combined power of 262 horsepower and a range of 75 kilometers in electric mode, this model offers outstanding performance, being suitable for both urban roads and longer journeys.

Thanks to the 7.2 kW charger, the battery can be quickly recharged, providing a practical and efficient solution for drivers who want a vehicle with low emissions and advanced technology. The 01 model promises to be an attraction in the Romanian car market, thanks to its modern features, such as the panoramic roof, 360-degree camera and blind spot detection system.

Lynk & Co expansion in South-Eastern Europe

This launch marks a new chapter in Lynk & Co’s expansion into European markets. After success in Germany, Holland, Sweden and other markets in Western Europe, the brand is now preparing to gain popularity in South-Eastern Europe as well. After Bucharest, Lynk & Co will open new locations in capitals such as Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade, giving customers in the region access to their innovative vehicles.

The strategic partnership with SEEAG, a group of companies with extensive experience in the automotive industry, facilitates this expansion, ensuring an efficient distribution and service network for the entire region.

What’s next for customers in Romania?

The Lynk & Co 01 will be available for test drives from the second half of October 2024, giving those interested the opportunity to experience first-hand the performance and technologies of this exceptional hybrid SUV. The location in Bucharest will be a point of reference for those who want to learn more about the brand and its innovative mobility solutions.

Thus, the opening of Lynk & Co in Bucharest marks an important evolution on the Romanian car market, bringing a new model closer to consumers, especially for those who are bored with established models.
