Upgraded 24-inch iMac model with M4 processor introduced by Apple in iPad Pro tablets earlier this year announced. The upgrade comes nearly a year after the launch of the previous iMac with the M3 processor. Here are all the details about the M4 iMac features, price and features.
M4 iMac Features
The M4 processor in the iMac comes with a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. Apple says the M4 iMac is up to 1.7x faster for everyday productivity tasks and up to 2.1x faster for demanding workflows like photo editing and gaming than the M1 chip iMac.
The new iMac comes with a minimum of 16GB of RAM, compared to 8GB in the previous base model. Additionally, there are options to configure it with up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD storage.
For the first time, the iMac can also be configured with a nano-textured display with a special coating that better disperses light to further reduce glare on the iMac’s screen. The rear USB-C ports on the new iMac now support Thunderbolt 4 compared to Thunderbolt 3 on the previous model.
Apple is upgrading the iMac with a 12-megapixel front camera with Center Stage support that puts users in the center of the frame. There’s also a Desk View feature that simultaneously shows your face and an overhead view of your desk.
Along with the new iMac, Apple announced updated versions of the Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad. Accessories are now equipped with USB-C charging ports. Apple includes the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard in the box with the iMac, and the Magic Trackpad is optional.
M4 iMac Price and Release Date
The new iMac, which comes in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver color options, is available for pre-order in our country and will be available as of Friday, November 8. Prices start from 59.999 TL.
