M4 MacBook Pro: Appeared for sale on a Russian classifieds site

After a leak that no one thought would ever happen, the M4 MacBook Pro her Apple, which has yet to be announced, reportedly appeared on Avito, a popular Russian classifieds site.

We remind you that videos have recently been released by Russian YouTube channels showing what appears to be the unreleased Apple laptop model.

According to reports on social media, the listing on Avito advertised a 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the next-generation M4 chip. The device was supposedly configured with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and was offered in a new Space Black finish, a color currently exclusive to the M3 Pro and M3 Max MacBook Pro models.

The price at which the laptop is sold is said to be around 720,000 rubles (about $7,500), which is significantly higher than the current MacBook Pro models.

More specifically, it appears that several units of the unreleased MacBook Pro were offered for sale, suggesting that a batch was stolen from a Chinese warehouse and somehow made its way to Russia. The listing reportedly included a note saying the price changes daily and buyers should confirm before purchasing. However, these listings have now been removed from the platform.

The latest leak follows unboxing videos shared by Russian YouTube channels over the weekend. These videos purportedly show the upcoming MacBook Pro, revealing possible upgrades such as three Thunderbolt 4 ports for the base model and 16GB of RAM as the new minimum memory configuration.

While the authenticity of these leaks remains unconfirmed, they do fall in line with recent rumors about Apple’s plans for the Mac lineup.

Bloomberg’s reliable Mark Gurman has said that Apple could introduce M4-powered Macs as early as late October, with a November 1st release date likely.

If these models are genuine, the leak represents a significant and unprecedented breach of Apple’s normally strict security measures. The last time Apple faced a leak of this magnitude was in 2010 when a prototype iPhone 4 was accidentally left in a bar in California.
