Madrasa student shot in the knee in Muradpur, case against two former ministers and MP

During the anti-discrimination student movement in Muradpur, Chittagong city, a madrasa student was shot and injured in the right leg of the former foreign minister. A case has been filed naming 127 people including Hasan Mahmud and former education minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel. Another 40 to 50 unidentified people have been accused in the case.

It is mentioned in the statement of the case that Sujan was returning home from Madrasa on the afternoon of July 18. When Sujan reached in front of N Mohammad Plastic Showroom in Muradpur area, the accused chased each other during the anti-discrimination movement program.

At one point the shooting started there. Sujan, a madrasa student who was present at the spot, was shot in his right knee and several passers-by were injured. Later, when Sujan was taken to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital, he underwent an operation to remove the bullet from his leg.

In this regard, Panchlaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Solaiman said that a case has been filed against 127 people in the case of a madrasa student being shot dead. Another 40 to 50 unidentified people have been accused in the case.
