A madrasa teacher named Maulana Swaib (48) Prakash Maheshkhali Huzur died on the spot in a road accident in Hathazari.
The accident happened on Monday (November 18) around ten o’clock in the night on Chittagong Hathazari regional highway in front of the eleven mile electricity substation of Hathazari municipality.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, the teacher who died in the accident, Maulana Swaib, had been working as a teacher at Shah Waliullah Hathazari Madrasa in Egarmiles for a long time. The house of the deceased is said to be in Matarbari area of Maheshkhali police station.
On the night of the incident, he was coming eleven miles to Hathazari Municipality in a bus called Khwaja Garibe Newaz (Chattametto J-11-1096) plying on Chittagong Rangamati road from the city.
After reaching the destination, while getting down from the bus, he inadvertently got crushed by the rear wheel of the bus and died on the spot. After receiving the information, the Hathajari Model Police Station went to the spot and is working to clear the traffic jam caused by the accident.
