In collaboration with Makemyday by Lonsdale, Maison Guerlain announces the release of its new Patchouli Paris eau de parfum by Delphine Jelk. The film associated with this launch will be broadcast on the brand’s digital platforms, notably on Instagram and YouTube, as well as in all its points of sale.
Produced and designed by MakeMyDay with director Frédéric Guelaff, the film intends to highlight the creative audacity of La Maison Guerlain and the madness of Parisian nights, which inspired the creation of this new perfume. This is what Delphine Jelk, creative director of Guerlain perfumes and perfumer, wanted to make people feel “ I worked on this patchouli in overdose. I wanted it to be immediately recognizable, in all its beauty and complexity. It is an extraordinary material, but it is difficult to tame, because all its beauty lies in its flaws » she commented on her Instagram account. With notes of aldehyde and musk combined with powdery and woody iris, the fragrance is a perfect blend with intoxicating tones of patchouli and vanilla.
An advertisement with very cinematic writing
Red tones igniting in the Parisian night throughout the progress of the scenario, rhythmic editing. The film immerses the viewer in the intimacy of the perfumer’s laboratory, located at the top of La Samaritaine, an emblematic place in Paris. The omnipresent voice of Delphine Jelk adds a sensual touch to the unfolding of the story. By diffusing perfume notes over the City of Lights, she transforms it into a spectacle of passion and mystery. It takes us to the most sulphurous districts of Paris like Pigalle or Montmarte, which plunges us into a claimed visual intoxication. A real Parisian show that ignites and almost makes you forget the main element of communication: the Patchouli Paris perfume!
