Mammoth founder launches own app

Developer Shihab Mehboob, creator of the Mammoth app for the decentralized Twitter clone Mastodon, is back with a new app, Saturn, that runs on the social network.

The app shows highlights from the range of posts, but does so without AI or even machine learning, instead looking at the number of likes and reposts. However, the feature does not necessarily only include content from accounts you follow.

Saturn also supports all features such as the ability to post images, videos, GIFs, polls, custom emoticons, drawings and more.

The app relies on premium subscriptions and has no ads. For $12.99 per year (or $39.99 as a one-time purchase) you get all the features. For now only on iOS.
