Man arrested in Florida for alleged death threats against Trump

Police in the US state of Florida have arrested a man who is accused of making threats against presidential candidate Donald Trump and his vice presidential candidate, JD Vance.

This appears from a statement from the police in the city of Jupiter, writes NBC News.

These are written threats to kill the two politicians, say the police.

They must have been made on social media by the man named Michael M. Wiseman.

– After an investigation of reports and of the suspect’s Facebook profile, detectives have determined that Wiseman has made several threats against Trump and Vance, who earlier this week were the Republican nominees for the post of president and vice president, respectively, the statement reads.

Police have not released any further information about Wiseman, and NBC has not been able to contact him.

It is not clear how old he is.

The arrest comes just one week after an assassination attempt was made against Trump during a campaign rally. The ex-president was hit by a stray shot on his right ear and has since appeared with a bandage over it.

The assassination has also led to the initiation of an investigation into the Secret Service, which is responsible for the security of American presidents and other top politicians.

Jupiter police say the investigation into Wiseman is being coordinated with the Secret Service and the Palm Beach County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police alerted Wiseman after becoming aware of the alleged threats through “several digital inquiries” and “residents expressing their concerns in person”.

It is not elaborated on what the citizens’ reviews actually sounded like.

A spokesperson for the Secret Service has not yet returned NBC News’ request.
