A 49-year-old man died on Friday in connection with an occupational accident at a company in Varde, South and Southern Jutland Police write on the social media X.
According to the police, the man was pinned between a silo and a lifting crane. The deceased man’s next of kin have been notified.
The Norwegian Working Environment Authority has been called in and must investigate the details of the accident. The Southern and Southern Jutland Police write that no further information can be given about the accident. It is not clear from the police statement when and how exactly the accident happened.
In 2024, at least 27 work-related fatal accidents took place, according to a calculation from the Norwegian Working Environment Authority.
