A 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody for 14 days after a constitutional hearing on Tuesday in the court in Nykøbing Falster. He is charged with trying to run down two different people eight days apart.
This is according to Bo Georg Petersen, who is the head of duty in South Zealand and Lolland-Falster’s Police.
Both attempted collisions took place in Nakskov, which is the man’s hometown.
The first incident took place on July 7, when a woman filed the report with the police, the warden said.
The second incident took place on Monday, when a man was attempted to be run over.
It was that incident that led to the man’s arrest.
The 30-year-old was remanded in custody on Tuesday on charges of aggravated violence, reckless driving and driving without a licence.
Resident Georg Petersen says that it is not the police’s presumption that the two who were tried to run over are random victims.
The police are now working to clarify a possible relationship between the remand and the two people who were tried to run over.
The 30-year-old denies guilt, says the warden.
