According to IPJ Caraş-Severin, the incident occurred on Sunday. A car traveling on DJ 581, in the town of Grădinari, was recorded by the police with the radar device, while it was traveling at a speed of 80 km/h, and at the time of the legal stop signal, the driver did not comply and continued moving in the direction of Resita.
The car was immediately chased and stopped at the filter set up at the entrance to the Reşita municipality, by a crew from the Reşita Road Office. The crew was prepared to use the spike type device, from the equipment, in case it was necessary, the police said.
At the wheel of the car was a 29-year-old woman from Bocşa, who did not have the right to drive vehicles on the territory of Romania, she had a provisional driving license issued by the UK authorities. In the same car was a 32-year-old man from Resita.
The police extended the checks and established that the car was driven “when he did not stop at the signal of the Oraviţa policemen, by the 32-year-old man who had the right to drive vehicles on public roads, suspended”.
The police have drawn up two criminal files for committing the crimes of driving a vehicle without a driver’s license.
