New products from Apple do not bring the desired revolution. iPhones, Watch and AirPods offer only modest improvements that are more of a must-ride than an innovation.
Those who have been following Apple for a long time may have noticed that the company seems to be losing steam with its new products. The presentation of new products is carried out in the style of a mandatory drive, the sole purpose of which is to renew the portfolio and catch up with the competition. The new iPhones are proof of that. If you own a year-old model, you won’t gain much by upgrading to a sixteen. Cameras are not much better, a separate button for the camera, a larger display and thinner frames or faster wireless charging will not bring much long-lasting joy. The same is the case with other products that the company presented together with iPhones.
Big changes are not happening again
The Apple Watch 10 hasn’t changed much. Despite various exotic designs, Apple has remained faithful to the old familiar rounded quadrilateral. However, the display of the watch is 30 percent larger, which was also reflected in the offered models. Instead of 41 and 45 millimeter models, the watch is available in 42 and 46 millimeter versions. The watch is also 10 percent thinner (from 10.7 to 9.7 millimeters). The older version of the watch made of stainless steel was replaced by a watch made of light and durable titanium. Of course, the basic models will continue to have a chassis made of aluminum.
The newer processor in the watch is rather an expected evolutionary step, but it does not bring higher performance and endurance. Swimmers will be pleased with the new sensors for measuring water temperature and immersion depth. The other sensors remained unchanged. The only difference will be the watch’s ability to measure sleep apnea. The price of the Apple Watch has remained unchanged, and owners of the eighth or ninth generation don’t have too many reasons to exchange just yet. The price for the tenth version of the Apple Watch starts at 449 (42mm) and 479 euros (46mm).
AirPods 4, Apple AirPods 4.
Instead of the third generation of AirPods Pro headphones, Apple introduced the fourth generation of classic AirPods. Probably because they still have a lot to catch up on and there is nothing to improve on the Pro. The new AirPods are the ticket to the world of headphones with active noise cancellation. This has been denied to owners of the basic version so far. However, since the novelty does not have rubber attachments, noise suppression will be less effective. On the other hand, those who were bothered by the rubber tips for various reasons may have found their ideal headphones. AirPods are identical in design to their predecessors, but they have a newer chip, improved sound quality, better microphones and a slightly better battery life of four (with ANC), or five hours with the option of 6-time charging in the case. Two versions will be available – without (149 euros) and with active noise suppression (199 euros).
