Mandatum starts change negotiations | Bond

Life insurer and asset manager Commandment start change negotiations.

Around 150 employees are involved in the negotiations. The negotiations mainly concern the group’s support functions. They do not apply to customer service, portfolio management, or customer-responsible sellers.

According to the company’s preliminary assessment, possible measures include the reorganization and consolidation of functions and tasks, as well as personnel reductions. The plans may lead to a reduction of up to 36 employees or a change in the terms of employment, Mandatum reports.

An average of 672 employees worked in the Mandatum Group in January–September.

According to the company, the reasons for the change negotiations are production, financial and the reasons arising from the reorganization of operations. The purpose is to enable a more efficient and thus more productive business than before. In addition, by streamlining operations, the aim is to secure the competitiveness of pricing in the future as well and at the same time enable scalable growth, the company reports.
