BELGRADE – For the first time, as many as four members of the global Effie jury are from Serbia. It is a competition in which works that have won Gold or Grand Effie at national and regional competitions in the previous year participate.
On the recommendation of the local Effie office and fulfilling the criteria prescribed by Effie Worldwide, the following participated in the selection for the most effective campaigns at the world level: Tamara Pajević (Marketing Director, Heineken Srbija), Aleksandar Djordjevic (Regional Chief Strategy Officer, Universal Media), Predrag Ćirović (Managing Director, GfK Beograd – part of YouGov Group) i Predrag Kurčubić (Managing Director, Ipsos Adria East).
During July and August, the members of the Best of the Best jury evaluated works from all over the world in the first round of judging, that is, the selection of finalists. The second round is scheduled for September, and the announcement of the winner is planned for the end of the year.
Serbia is one of the 125 markets where the Effie competition is held. Although it belongs to the group of national programs that are more recent (it has been organized since 2017), Effie Awards Serbia delegates its representatives to the global Effie jury every year. In this way, local experts who participate in the judging, in addition to additional education, also receive a kind of recognition for their work and contribution to the development of Effie, and the national program proves that it is an equal and respectable partner of Effie Worldwide.
