Markus Lanz welcomes four guests to the Wednesday edition of his talk. Who is there?

Markus Lanz’s talk has been an integral part of the ZDF program since 2008. The show, produced in Hamburg, goes on air three times a week, namely on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. And that gives ZDF above-average ratings in almost all cases. Lanz usually talks to four to five people in his program, which lasts around 75 minutes.

Today, January 15th, the program is particularly notable because of the politicians invited. Broadcast starts on Wednesday at 11:15 p.m.

  • Franziska Brantner, Green Party co-chair: She comments on Robert Habeck’s call for social contributions on capital income and on the debate about increasing defense spending to 3.5% of economic output.
  • Carlo Masala, Military Expert: With a view to the alleged acts of sabotage in the Baltic Sea, he talks about Russia’s so-called shadow fleet, measures against hybrid warfare and the state of the Bundeswehr.
  • Robin Alexander, Journalist: The “Welt” deputy editor-in-chief analyzes the direction of the Greens’ election campaign. And he comments on Elon Musk and his controversial guest article in his newspaper.
  • Sascha Lobo, journalist: He talks about the influence and attitudes of tech billionaires Musk and Zuckerberg, how they deal with opinion pieces and the dangers of disinformation on social media.

If you missed a Markus Lanz show, you can watch it later at a flexible time in the ZDF media library. The current episodes are usually available there a short time after the end of the linear broadcast.
