Maserati helps Leapmotor refine its cars

Maserati and the chassis Research and Development team of Leap motor they are working together to perfect the models of the Chinese brand, part of the Stellantis Group. The two groups have already conducted some checks at the Balocco test site in Italy and the Yancheng test site of the China Automotive Center in China. Jiangming also updated journalists on the company’s future strategy, providing more details on new cars for Europe, and explained how Leapmotor manages to produce cars at competitive prices.

The Leapmotor plan

Last year Stellar he bought a 20% stake in the company and founded Leapmotor Internationalin which it holds 51%. Earlier this year, Leapmotor began producing cars at a Stellantis plant in Poland and today has 200 points of sale in Europebut by the end of 2025 we want to raise the number to 500.

Currently the models on sale are the C10 SUV and the small T03 and are available in 13 European countries, including France, Germany, Belgium, Greece, ItaliaLuxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

<p>At the last Paris Motor Show the company presented a new model, the B10 compact SUV, and the intention is to launch one new product every year. As part of the <strong>globalization strategy</strong> the company also intends to launch a range in the smaller vehicle segments, which represent 60-70% of sales in Europe.</p>

<h2><span class=How it keeps prices competitive

Zhu Jiangming explained that Leapmotor models can have competitive prices because every phase, from Research and Development to manufacturing, takes place within the companywhich thus passes less money to suppliers.

“Whether it is a high-end or low-end model, the gross profit is the same, with the aim of allowing users to purchase a better equipped product and better quality at a reasonable price,” Zhu said.
