“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our master Suphi Tekniker.
With the encouragement of our founder Muhsin Ertuğrul, he appeared on stage as an extra in the play King Lear at the Istanbul City Theater in 1960, and later proved his success on the stage with the leading roles he played in the theatre. He then appeared in many films, especially films starring masters such as Şener Şen, Kemal Sunal and İlyas Salman. Tekniker, who has successfully carried out his artistic journey as a screenwriter and actor in theater and cinema, said in an interview, “City Theater is my joy. If I were born again, I would come to the City Theaters again and want to live the same life. “I want to be an actor,” he said.

WHO IS SUPHI TEKNİKER?
Suphi Tekniker was born on January 10, 1940 in Mersin. After Mersin High School, he graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Geography. He joined the theater as an amateur actor in 1957. Later, he worked at Istanbul City Theatres.
The script was written by Erdoğan Tünaş in 1960; He started acting with the movie “Cici Kâtibem”, in which Orhan Günşiray, Fatma Girik and Suphi Kaner also starred. He wrote the scripts of many films starting from 1975. He is remembered for the clean surface in the movies he starred in.
