Max July 2024 new releases list. What to watch? New movies and series

In the second half of July, many new films and series will appear on the Max platform. Among them, we will find both documentaries and feature films. We know the full list of premieres.

Among the upcoming new releases, we will find several fresh titles, but there is also no shortage of well-known productions from a few years ago. One of them is the film “Public Enemies”, a top-shelf gangster film set in the realities of America in the 1930s. Director Michael Mann presents an electrifying story about the hunt for the famous criminal John Dillinger, played by Johnny Depp. The film will also feature Christian Bale as FBI agent Melvin Purvis, who tries to catch Dillinger at all costs. The production shows not only spectacular robberies, but also the personal dramas of the characters.

The platform will also feature a film previously available on Disney+. We are talking about “The Boston Strangler” – a crime thriller based on facts directed by Matt Ruskin. The film tells the story of Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley) and Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), two journalists who in the 1960s publicized the case of shocking murders committed by the titular strangler. The production focuses not only on the investigation, but also on women’s fight against sexism in the journalistic environment.

The list of new releases also includes “Van Helsing”, in which Hugh Jackman plays the title character – the legendary monster hunter. The action of the film takes place in the 19th century, and Van Helsing is sent by the Vatican to Transylvania to defeat Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster and the Werewolf. For some viewers, a good choice may also be “Hostage of Wall Street” directed by Jodie Foster, in which George Clooney plays Lee Gates, a star of a TV show about investments. When one of the viewers, Kyle Budwell (Jack O’Connell), loses all his savings because of his advice, he takes Gates hostage live on TV. In the second half of July, many other productions will also appear on Max, such as “The Commander’s Shadow”, “Tell Me Everything II” or “I Love You Now”.
