Maxus eDeliver5: the youngest, the happiest

We just introduced the Maxus eTerron9 to you, but this electric pick-up is not the only new electric commercial vehicle from Maxus. During the IAA Transportation in Hannover, Maxus is introducing yet another new model: the eDeliver5. In terms of naming, it naturally fits perfectly into the eDeliver range, which already consists of the eDeliver3, eDeliver7 and eDeliver9. From left to right: the eDeliver7, the eDeliver3, the eDeliver9 (twice) and the T90 EV. Maxus has apparently never heard of using a uniform design language. The eTerron9 pick-up looks nothing like the T90 EV and despite the fact that they are all vans, the current eDeliver models look nothing like each other either. This new eDeliver5 looks even less like its brothers and sisters, if possible. It is even the only Maxus model that exudes a somewhat retro-futuristic atmosphere with a relatively cheerful design language characterised by round shapes and striking colour schemes. Both inside and out. More interesting is of course what the eDeliver5 has to offer. The Maxus eDeliver5 will be available in two lengths and two heights. The shortest version has a loading volume of 6.6 cubic metres and is therefore almost more spacious than the largest version of the smaller eDeliver3. In addition, the new Maxus eDeliver5 itself also has a longer version – with a raised roof – that swallows up to 8.7 cubic metres. This makes that version just as spacious as the most spacious eDeliver7. So there is some overlap between the two models. The loading space of the short eDeliver5 is 3.78 metres deep, that of the longest version 4.23 metres. The new van has a sliding door on both the left and right and has two rear doors instead of a tailgate. Maxus eDeliver5 The Maxus eDeliver5 has a 64 kWh battery and a 163 hp and 240 Nm strong electric motor. This combination is good for an electric range of 498 kilometers in the city. That is therefore not an average combined range. Maxus is keeping that under wraps for the time being. We are aiming for a generous 300 kilometers. The Maxus has a maximum load capacity of 1,200 kilos and can tow up to 1,500 kilos. The dashboard is simple in design and offers, among other things, a small digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system that can handle Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those who pay extra can have the front passenger seat replaced by a two-person bench. The Maxus eDeliver5 can be found at Dutch Maxus dealers from September 26. Prices and extensive specifications will follow soon.
