Mazda launched the CX-60 SUV in the spring of 2022, and now it’s bringing a series of technical updates to refine the whole package.
The Japanese have prepared some technical updates for the CX-60 SUV, which are intended to improve the car’s roadworthiness, but also the experience of using the technologies included in the interior.
Mazda announces that the updated version of the SUV will be launched in Europe next year and that it will benefit from improvements of a visual and technical nature. The update will introduce several new features, including the Zircon Sand exterior color, technical revisions and chassis refinements, as well as significant interior improvements for the Homura trim. The 2025 model also introduces two new top tiers: Homura Plus and Takumi Plus.
The manufacturer says that the chassis has been recalibrated and that now the handling has been improved, but also more comfort and stability. The biggest change has been made to the rear axle, as the car gets softer springs and dampers with a firmer setting to ensure a higher level of comfort for the occupants.
The engines have been updated to meet the latest pollution norms
All of the Japanese SUV’s engines have been updated to meet the latest European Union pollution standards. As before, the CX-60 will be available in three versions. There is a six-cylinder inline diesel engine developing either 200PS or 254PS, both mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The latter also offers four-wheel drive.
There is also a configuration with a plug-in hybrid engine based on a 2.5 liter petrol unit. This is assisted by an electric motor, with a total combined output of 327 hp. The 17.8 kWh battery can provide a purely electric range of approximately 60 kilometers.
For now, Mazda has not announced what the prices will be for the updated CX-60 SUC.
