The new comedy with Olivia Coleman has a whopping 92% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and is a huge hit on Netflix abroad. How to watch “Mean Notes” in Poland?
“Mean Notes” is a crime comedy set in the early 20th century in a small English town. The main character, the pious Edith Swan (Olivia Colman), begins to receive anonymous, spiteful letters. She suspects her neighbor, the rebellious Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley), of their authorship. However, over time, the letters begin to reach more and more residents, which leads to a series of funny and surprising events.
The cast, in addition to Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley, also includes Timothy Spall, Gemma Jones, Malachi Kirby, Alisha Weir, Anjana Vasan and Hugh Skinner. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock, known for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Ghosts of Inisherin.
The film is based on a true story and shows how one rumor can cause chaos in an entire community. At the same time, this story is very cool when it comes to our reality, where almost anyone can write almost anything they like about another person on the internet and usually they are not held responsible for it.
Mean Notes – a Netflix hit. Where can you watch this great comedy?
It’s no wonder the film is getting such great reviews – at the time of writing, “Mean Notes” has a 92% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 80% from critics. The film’s presence on Netflix in the UK has had a major impact on its growing popularity. You can therefore increasingly come across high ratings and recommendations from others online – but where can you watch “Mean Notes” in Poland if it’s not on Netflix?
The delayed premiere compared to other countries meant that “Mean Notes” hit Polish cinemas last Friday, July 26, and the comedy can only be watched on the big screen. For this reason, the film will appear in digital distribution in a few (or a dozen) weeks at the earliest, and it will be available on streaming platforms as part of a subscription even later. Unless, Netflix decides to surprise us and soon adds “Mean Notes” to its catalog in Poland as well.
