Jeonbuk National University Hospital announced on the 2nd that it had delivered a list of Sprout Guardian Hospitals and a letter containing information on reporting child abuse to related organizations related to children and youth in the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.

This fan transfer was done for the purpose of preventing child abuse and responding quickly. The fan transferred to each organization included a list of Jeonbuk Sprout Guardian Hospitals, along with instructions on how to report child abuse and precautions. One side of the fan has an easy-to-follow explanation of the child abuse reporting process with pictures, and the other side has a list of Sprout Guardian Hospitals in the region and the main roles of the hospitals.

The donations were distributed to various child and youth-related organizations in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, including 54 kindergartens and local children’s centers, including Jeonbuk National University Hospital. The local Sprout Guardian Hospital also participated in the distribution, adding to its meaning.

Yonsei Medical Center to Hold ‘2024 Global Digital Healthcare Symposium’

Yonsei University Medical Center will co-host the ‘2024 Global Healthcare Symposium’ with Naver Cloud (CEO Kim Yu-won) in the only hall on the first floor of the Avison Biomedical Research Center of the College of Medicine on the 27th.

SCL (Seoul Medical Research Institute, a specialized testing organization) and Yongin City Volunteer Center are sponsoring career experience for children and adolescents in vulnerable groups suffering from socioeconomic difficulties. This sponsorship is part of SCL’s social contribution activity ‘Hope Sharing’ and consists of two events: ‘Summer Vacation Career Exploration Education’ and ‘Career Experience Fair’.

‘Summer Vacation Career Exploration Education’ was conducted on the 1st at the SCL headquarters for children at the Yongin City Regional Children’s Center. It received a positive response from the participating children, as they were given the opportunity to experience various equipment and testing processes through a tour of the testing lab.

The ‘Career Experience Fair’ to be held next month will feature a variety of experiential activities, including a departmental major exploration and ESG practice booth operated by the Yongin City Volunteer Center Youth Volunteer Group.

Ewha Womans University Medical Center announced on the 2nd that it is conducting the ‘365 Carbon Diet Campaign’ as one of its ESG activities.

Ewha Medical Center established the ESG TFT in June and began its full-fledged activities. In order to address climate change and its negative impacts caused by the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, it decided to conduct the ‘365 Carbon Diet Campaign’ with the goal of reducing carbon emissions in daily life.

Ilsan Baek Hospital, Receives 1st Grade in Acute Stroke Appropriateness Evaluation by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service

Inje University Ilsan Paik Hospital announced on the 2nd that it received a grade 1 in the ‘2022 (10th) Acute Stroke Adequacy Evaluation’ recently announced by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service.

Ilsan Paik Hospital recorded a comprehensive score of 98.55 points, significantly exceeding the overall average score of 88.13 points. It recorded high scores in all six evaluation indicators: ▲staff and facility composition ▲intravenous thrombolytic (t-PA) administration rate ▲early rehabilitation evaluation and implementation rate ▲functional outcome scale implementation rate upon discharge ▲incidence of pneumonia during hospitalization ▲mortality rate within 30 days of hospitalization.

In particular, it received an A grade in the evaluation of medical personnel and facilities necessary for stroke treatment, and recorded an early rehabilitation evaluation rate of 100% and a pneumonia incidence rate of 0%.

Jeonbuk National University Hospital announced on the 2nd that it is carrying out a ‘smart blood sugar management’ project for pregnant diabetes patients in the local community.

The ‘Smart Blood Sugar Management’ project is being carried out by a specialized medical team consisting of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Clinical Nutritionist, and Diabetes Education Nurse at Chonbuk National University Hospital, targeting pregnant diabetes patients in the Jeonbuk region.

This is a project that provides 1:1 customized diabetes management and education, provides continuous blood glucose monitoring devices, and supports online consultations. We are continuously recruiting participants, and this project is scheduled to run until December of this year.
