Medvedev warned about the consequences of Ukraine’s attack on Belarus

If the Ukrainian Armed Forces decide to attack, the Russian Federation will allow Minsk to use nuclear weapons.

If Ukraine decides to transfer hostilities to the territory of Belarus, Minsk may use nuclear weapons. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, reports “Kommersant».

He clarified that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack Belarusian territory, Minsk may ask Moscow for permission to use tactical nuclear weapons.

“It will be difficult for Russia to refuse the leadership of the republic,” Medvedev added.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Rada called for the military operations to be transferred to Belarus. However, these calls were not commented on at the highest level either in Kyiv or Minsk.

Let us recall that according to the agreements between Moscow and Minsk, Russian tactical nuclear weapons are stationed in Belarus. Earlier, the leader of this country, Alexander Lukashenko, noted that the country would not use nuclear weapons until the borders of the Union State were violated.

Earlier, Lavrov warned the West about the danger, noting that “it makes no sense to fight with a nuclear power.”
