Photographer Meeri Koutaniemi very badly, what a car crash feels like. It’s about a collision between two taxis.
– Returning to Helsinki was a bit of a shock. I got into a collision between taxis at the same time, says Meeri Koutaniemi in her update on Instagram stories.
According to Meer, the situation was completely absurd.
– The situation was absolutely absurd. My driver changed lanes, turned on the blinker too late, and the other taxi didn’t give room for the lane change, but deliberately drove into our side.
And that’s not all. According to Meer, one of the cars continued to press the gas even after the crash.
– Then he just continued to press the gas until he turned sideways, he was afraid that he was about to go on his side. The whole pointless and shitty accident was due to the fact that the drivers were two rams, both of whom had stupid stubbornness, arrogance and aggression at the same time.
Aggression behind the wheel
Meeri is naturally horrified by the situation. In his update, he asks if it is necessary to release all pent-up and repressed aggressions at the wheel.
– I had to comment on this, that luckily no one was hurt in this collision. But the question arose, is it necessary to release all the pent-up and suppressed aggression there at the wheel and endanger so many people on the road?
Both drivers claimed after the crash that they did everything completely right.
– The worst thing was that when I talked to both drivers after the collision, both of them insisted that they had done the “right thing”. I thought that after this you could even admit that you’re a damn fool.
– Just out of interest, I’m asking, have you yourself noticed a change in the driving style of taxis or have taxi drivers become more aggressive in recent years?
