Translated, Neverfull means never full and was designed to be as spacious as possible and to carry a large load. The Neverfull is the ideal handbag for traveling, as it is light, compact, comfortable to wear on the shoulder and holds everything.
Neverfull is produced in three sizes, but I consider the middle size MM, which is one of the bestsellers at Louis Vuitton, to be a clear favorite. The smaller PM version is quite a small handbag, the largest GM, on the other hand, feels like a travel bag and could only be suitable for very tall ladies for daily wear.
Why is Neverfull so popular?
Neverfull has an uncomplicated shape, a spacious interior, and a handle long enough to be worn in the hand or on the shoulder. It is perfect for everyday wear to work, to the playground with children, for shopping and running around town. Due to the relatively low price (compared to other Louis Vuitton handbags), it is such a starter luxury handbag and at the same time the dream of many women.
The Neverfull is currently available in the most popular Monogram and Damier canvas collections and in Epi leather. We also often see seasonal limited editions with various prints. It is the most durable in the Damier Ebene canvas design – sewn from canvas with a PVC treatment, supplemented with lugs and a hem made of leather with a surface treatment. The Monogram canvas and Damier Azur canvas versions are also made of canvas with a PVC treatment, but the tab and hem are made of natural calfskin, which darkens and can develop spots on it.
Unfortunately, the composition of the canvas underwent a change a few years ago and is much softer and also more prone to abrasion. I therefore recommend that you always consider buying an older second-hand handbag, as the original canvas is practically indestructible.
