Megatrend’s work permit was revoked
The higher education institution Megatrend University has had its license revoked, the Ministry of Education announced.
The permission was also revoked from the High School of Modern Business, based in Belgrade.
The Ministry of Education made a decision on revoking the work permit of that higher education institution based on a letter from the National Body for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education rejecting that university’s request for a new regular accreditation.
As stated on the website of the Ministry, the decision was made on August 26, based on Article 53, Paragraph 8 of the Law on Higher Education.
In accordance with the Law on Higher Education, the Minister of Education, upon the proposal of the National Council for Higher Education, within 30 days from the day the institution ceases to operate, will issue an act ensuring the completion of studies for students of that higher education institution.
The costs of completing the studies for the students found, in accordance with the established obligations between the students and the mentioned higher education institution, are borne by the university whose work permit was revoked.
Also, that institution can submit a request for the issuance of a new work permit after the expiration of one year from the date of delivery of the decision on revocation of the work permit.
