MEI collection

As the name suggests, they became the main source of inspiration for this new collection the author’s experiences from trips to Japan. The word MEI means life, and the idea of a life full of beautiful moments pervades all models. They are made from exclusive materials and they have a generous shape and a demanding cutting solution with a large proportion of manual work.

The models will be covered in objects for the clothing performance
inspired by kimonos with a pronounced calligraphic rendering of the words MEI Despite the distinctly artistic concept, the objects hide wearable pieces suitable for every classy lover of Czech fashion. All models honor the fabric and are based on its memory.

Eight

The collection consists of of eight modelstherefore we find in it
evening coats, formal and evening dresses
from luxurious materials such as cotton duchesse, silk double duchesse, silk satin, georgette or chiffon in black and pink. Black evening coats at first glance, they impress with their interesting cut form. Small black ones are also imaginative, and their cut maintains generosity and simplicity at the same time.

In large evening dresses in magenta color, their owner shines even on the most festive occasions. Simple but
imaginative details they underline the exclusive flowing fabric. It is very clearly definable in this model Japanese link. The collection also includes a second simple long gown accented with a large silicone jewel.

Tuning with add-ons

An important element of all author’s collections by Liběna Rochová is their pairing with accessories. In the case of MEI, it is footwear that was designed and realized by Pavla Podsedníková.

An ever-growing collection

The author will continue to develop the creative idea of a unique mini collection. “The MEI concept should become the basis of the limited collection for the autumn-winter 2019/2020 season. The collection is a reminiscence of my experiences from Japanese travels. The free inspiration for it was the exhibition “Other Kind of Work” at 21_22 Design Sight in Tokyo. On the occasion of its launch, I would like to thank Filip Suchomel, who helped me search and find the right name that reflects the essence of the new models”he concludes
Liběna Rochová.
