150 billion dollars in damage: The burned houses of Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins … how lucky Tom Hanks
Several thousand buildings were destroyed in the fires in the Los Angeles area, while the list of burned houses of famous people is expanding, and the first damage estimates are up to 150 billion dollars.
In the fires raging in Los Angeles, at least 11 people have died and around 12,000 buildings have been reduced to ashes. The number of evacuees increased to around 180,000.
Material damage is, of course, still in the realm of conjecture, as government officials have not yet given an estimate. AccuWeather, a private firm that provides weather data, estimated that $135 billion to $150 billion was “burned.” Outgoing US President Joe Biden announced that the US government will compensate for all the damage caused.
More than 5,300 structures, including the homes of numerous celebrities, were damaged or destroyed in the hilly coastal community of Pacific Palisades.
Actors Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges and Anthony Hopkins are the latest in a series of celebrities whose houses burned down, and according to the media, one of the lucky ones is Tom Hanks, whose fire “stopped” in front of his house.

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are the rare lucky ones whose home was left intact in the terrible fire raging through Los Angeles. The fire stopped, it seems, right in front of their villa.
The home of the Hollywood star was only miraculously left intact. The $26 million house, which Tom and his wife Rita bought in 2010, managed to remain intact, and photos show that the fire element stopped almost at the doorstep.

Mel Gibson stated that his home was destroyed while he was away filming Joe Rogan’s podcast and added that his Malibu estate was completely burned down.
As reported by the media, it is believed that the actor Anthony Hopkins (87), also an Oscar winner, lost his home, the value of which was estimated at six million dollars and whose footage Hopkins often published on social networks.

Miles Teller, best known for his role in the movie Top Gun: Maverick, and his wife Kelly Sperry also lost their home in Pacific Palisades.
Sperry shared a picture of the fire on Instagram and called on residents of the area to leave bowls of water for abandoned and lost animals when leaving their homes.
And TV presenter Ricky Lake informed followers that she lost her dream home and announced that she mourns with all those affected by this apocalyptic event.
The homes of actors John Goodman, Anna Faris and Cary Elwes were also destroyed in the fires, according to reporters.
Paris Hilton was among the first celebrities to inform the public that they had lost their home. She posted on Instagram that she watched her house in Malibu burn to the ground live on television.
Actor James Woods was also left homeless, as was his colleague Adam Brody.

Without the family home, where they had lived since 1979, the married couple – Actor Billy Crystal and his wife Janice – remained.
