From the date of November 1, 2024 at 6:00 p.m you are invited to the sensory exhibition „Memories of a forest” the Indecis Artist Run Space, Bastion 3, str. Hector, no. 1, Timisoara. The exhibition can be visited in Timișoara until November 16.
Artists Paula Tudor Cămîrzan (painting), Anamaria Pravicencu (sound creation), Denisa Popescu (ceramics) and curator Suzana Dan invite you to hear, see and feel fragments of the forest to which we always feel the need to return.
After going through a series of successive transformations in Bucharest, in the space in Str. Amzei square no. 5, the “Memories of a forest” exhibition is reassembled in Timișoara at Indecis, in an expanded format, including over 20 visual and sound works of art and presenting a new visiting experience.
“Emotions, emotions, emotions? Somewhere across seas and lands, people do not enter a forest without asking it to be gentle with them and forgive them. I felt every time the humility and fear mixed with fascination present in any sequence of Miyazaki’s animations where crossing a forest becomes a passage from one world to another. And I was glad that I was not alone. And I was even more happy when Paula, Denisa and Anamaria decided that wandering in nature will return them to an area that, beyond the conflicting intensity of the states it causes you, first of all helps you find yourself .”, Susan Dancurator

The itinerant exhibition “Memories of a forest” is the result of a personal artistic research approach to virgin forests in Romania.
The exhibition is organized by the Antistatic Association in partnership with the Kogayon Association, co-financed by AFCN.
