US President Biden made a statement to the press about the murder of Hamas leader Sinvar, while getting off the plane in Berlin, the capital city where he went to visit Germany.
Biden called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him and noted that now is the time to look forward.
“It’s time for this war to end and bring the captives home. That’s what we’re prepared to do.” Biden emphasized that steps should be taken to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza.
Announcing that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will go to Israel a few days later and discuss the latest situation with his counterparts, Biden gave the message that they want to enter into a concrete process regarding the ceasefire.
