Meta ends its ‘fack checking’ program in the United States – World

Meta will end its fact-checking program in the United States, taking a step back in the fight against misinformation, the company’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, said on Tuesday.

“We are going to do away with fact checkers and replace them with community ratings, similar to those on X (formerly Twitter), starting with the United States,” declared Mark Zuckerberg in a message on social media.

According to the founder of Facebook, “verifiers have been very politically oriented and have done more to reduce trust than to improve it, especially in the United States.”
