Metz Connect brings a lockable IP44 Ethernet socket
Network cabling
from editorial team,
Metz Connect, a market leader in connection technology and passive network technology, was one of the first manufacturers to bring a lockable Ethernet connection box MC IP44 SG with IP44 protection onto the market. Even when the patch cables are plugged in, the hinged lid of the thermoplastic housing closes completely and ensures reliable IPX4 protection. The junction boxes are protected against splash water from all sides and the penetration of solid objects larger than 1 mm.

The lower part of the housing can be rotated 180 degrees. This allows cable feed from above and below. Inside, the junction box offers enough space for cable reserves. The MC IP44 SG Ethernet connection boxes are suitable for installation in covered outdoor areas, in damp rooms and in places with contamination from dust particles. They can also be installed in industrial areas subject to high mechanical stress, such as production halls or storage facilities.
By using robust, break-resistant materials in the reinforced housing, the UV and weather-resistant junction box MC IP44 SG is impact-resistant, break-proof and ball-proof in accordance with DIN 18032-3. This offers the best conditions for applications in schools or sports halls, in the garden, on terraces, in the garage and in workshops.
In comparison to competing products, the hinged lid can also be locked when the patch cables are plugged in to ensure access protection against unauthorized users. This is particularly important when used in public areas. In contrast to comparable products on the market, the sealable hinged lid of the MC IP44 SG Ethernet connection box can be locked when open. This makes installation easier for the electrician.
Mixed equipment is easily possible
In total, individual RJ45 modules or couplings for coax connectors and fiber optic cables (LWL) can be integrated into two ports. The MC IP44 SG Ethernet connection box is therefore suitable for individual mixed copper and fiber optic configurations. Thanks to the large plug-in area and the completely closing hinged lid, IP44 protection is also provided when patch cables are plugged in.
The modern housing design is available in pure white (RAL 9010) and gray (RAL7035) – it is not only functional, but also visually appealing. Electrical installers also benefit from a clearly visible label.
