MG has prepared a fully electric compact SUV model ES5, which is based on the same platform as the MG 4.
ES5 is 4476 mm long, 1849 mm wide, 1621 mm high, wheelbase is 2730 mm, while the wheels are 17 and 18 inches.
The car has an electric motor with 125 kW/170 HP, it accelerates to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, and the maximum speed is 170 km/h.
The weight, depending on the version, ranges from 1615 kg to 1740 kg.
All versions use lithium-iron-phosphate batteries manufactured by SAIC in cooperation with CATL. These are batteries of 49.1 and 62.2 kWh, and the range ranges from 425 to 525 km per CLTC cycle.
The ES5 will also arrive on the European market (practically as a replacement for the ZS EV), and in the UK expect prices to start below £30,000 for the base version.
