The new one MG ZS marks an important step in the evolution of the Anglo-Chinese brand. The C-segment SUV has grown in various aspects, from dimensions to on-board technology, while maintaining a competitive price and very complete equipment.
Let’s focus above all on the interiorto try to understand all the news on board the ZS.
MG ZS, the dashboard
Most of the changes on the ZS concern the structure of the dashboard, which now integrates a display of theinfotainment is 12.3″. It is a rather intuitive and simple system in terms of graphics, which also allows you to control the air conditioning and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities (via cable only).
Also standard is the 7″ digital instrument clusterwhich allows you to view driving information and the various driver assistance systems, but not the navigator maps. It’s just a shame that the steering wheel can only be adjusted in height and that the plate for wireless charging of the smartphone is missing, two elements present on the vast majority of new models.
MG ZS, materials and finishes
Despite the competitive price, the upholstery on the MG is nice. In the upper part of the passenger compartment there are also soft surfaces, while the workmanship on the central tunnel and on the vents (which recall aluminium) communicate a sense of attention to detail, especially in terms of design.
MG ZS, habitability and the trunk
Space is abundant on board the ZS both for those sitting in the front and for rear passengers. The central tunnel is not particularly pronounced, so even the fifth passenger travels comfortably. Additionally, there are rear air conditioning vents and a USB Type A socket on the cabinet.
The tailgate does not have an electric drive, while the trunk offers one minimum capacity of 443 litresin the category average.
