Michael AG is expanding its portfolio through a new partnership with Patchbox, a provider of space- and time-saving cable management solutions.
The ICT distributor Michael has announced a partnership with Patchbox and is now acting as an official distributor. Patchbox offers an all-in-one cable management solution that includes 24 extendable Cat.6a or fiber optic cables and replaces conventional patch panels. The system enables installation and maintenance to be up to eight times faster. In addition, the Patchcatch allows up to 50 percent more space to be used in the rack.
Oliver Hemann, CEO of Michael AG, highlights the advantages of the collaboration: “The system contributes to the optimization, standardization and scalability of IT. It can also reduce the duration of outages by up to 90 percent and make maintenance more efficient.” The Patchbox solution offers long-term advantages by creating up to 50 percent more space in a rack without additional patch panels. In addition, installation is said to be up to eight times faster than with conventional cabling. Patchbox will be represented for the first time at Michael AG’s upcoming autumn trade fair.
