Michael Kiwanuka presents the single “The Rest Of Me” and announces a new album

British R&B singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka released a new single “The Rest Of Me“, the third track from his upcoming album “Small Changes” which represents the long-awaited follow-up to the LP “KIWANUKA“, and the single itself was accompanied by a beautifully shot music video directed by Yout.

When thinking about the direction they wanted the album to go, Michael Kiwanuka and his producer Brian Burton came to a common desire that it should become an album that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of what is considered cool.

“We were just looking for something that sounded like it could be on a Bill Withers or Sadé album,” said Michael Kiwanuka, who grew up listening to Sadé’s music and whose influence can be heard prominently in his work. An example of this can be found right now u singlu „The Rest Of Me“in which Michael recalls the afternoons he spent as a child in his aunt’s car “where ‘Diamond Life’ was rarely off the cassette player”.

Michael Kiwanuka returned to the festival scene this summer, including an impressive performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and then headlining Wilderness Festival. He also announced his 12-date European and UK tour for spring 2025, which will give fans the chance to hear songs from his fourth studio album, Small Changes.

The release “The Rest Of Me” is available in Serbia on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and YouTube Music, as well as worldwide in all digital stores.
